Located just a two to three hour drive from Nairobi, Lake Nakuru National Park is the perfect choice for those wanting a safari when time is limited.
Once home to Kenya’s famous flamingo flocks, the park is now most famous for its large herds of buffalo, the presence of four of the Big Five, and it’s larger than average populations of rhinoceros.
A scenic park bordering Lake Nakuru, it’s a fun day trip from the city.

The short, two to three hour drive passes by some beautiful scenery, and before you know it you’ll be lakeside and ready for your game drive.
While the park’s resident flamingos had moved, they have now come back and the park is still home to four of the Big Five (you won’t see elephants here) as well as a huge variety of bird life. Your full-day game drive in the park will showcase some of Kenya’s most beautiful terrain while you spot large herds of buffalo, families of baboons, both black and white rhinoceros, and even if lucky you may spot lazy lions and leopards.
We get busy looking for the wildlife, snapping photos, recording adventure moments, tracking the wildlife and enjoying the expansive natural beauty of Lake Nakuru as we maximize our full day game drives.
We will have packed lunch with us, therefore the whole day is at our disposal to exhaustively traverse all the corners of the park.
Lunch time at Makalia Water Fall from 1:00AM
After lunch, we get back to tracking the wildlife not yet spotted so far. Our aim is to make sure we have enjoyed the best of adventure available in Lake Nakuru National Park within this full day adventure trip.
At 4:00PM we start our journey back to Nairobi, hoping to make it to the CBD by latest 6:00PM to allow participants to catch up with their means of transport back home.
